The Schimmel Digital Archive

Through the generosity of Herbert and Ruth Schimmel the MFMHS is able to compliment a tremendous collection of artifacts from shipwreck's of the colonial period with contemporary documents, prints and maps. Among these are items relating to exploration, commerce and technology, with an emphasis on early Caribbean history, the Transatlantic Slave Trade, and the Florida Keys.

The Schimmel Digital Archive consists of an on-line selection
of the many documents they have donated to the MFMHS.
