PARKING
Parking in Old Town can be difficult to find.
Metered spaces are located near most attractions. These meters operate on quarters, the time allotted for each quarter shrinking each year. Bring plenty of quarters with you to avoid a pricey ticket.
The city and private operations offer parking lots with attendants that charge an hourly rate collected at departure. The lot closest to the museum is across the street from us at the Key West Westin Hotel on Front Street. Hourly rates established by the hotel apply.
The best way to avoid parking in Old Town is to travel by bicycle. The museum has a free parking bicycle rack in our courtyard for all museum staff and visitors. We invite you to chain up to our rack during your visit to the museum.
Scooters are treated as motorcycles under Florida law. They must be parked in a legal spot for a motorized vehicle. The parking of scooters on sidewalks or in no parking zones will result in parking violations and, in some instances, towing. |
