FAMILY SCIENCE NIGHTS AT MEL FISHER MARITIME MUSEUM
Discover new ways for your family to enjoy a cooperative science learning experience by participating in “Family Science Nights” at the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum on Wednesday, May 5 and Wednesday, May 12.
From 7:00-8:15 p.m. at the museum at 200 Greene Street , students of any age and their parents (an adult is required to attend with each child) will jointly tackle science questions. The program is free but numbers are limited. Register early to ensure your family’s admission. This is a great opportunity for grandparents to help those precious grandchildren learn more about the sciences.
Program application forms are available by calling Rita Kingsbury at 294-2633, extension 20. “Family Math” nights were held at the museum in April.
The Mel Fisher Maritime Museum is an independent not-for-profit 501 c (3) nationally-accredited organization, dedicated to the exhibition, education, archaeology, preservation and research of our maritime history in the New World and is the most visited nonprofit history museum in the southeastern United States.
