IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Buccaneer
Camp Brings Fun and Learning
to
Keys Kids This Summer
Keys
kids are encouraged to register now for the exciting new
Buccaneer Camp, beginning June 29, coordinated by the
Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Society. Boys and girls
aged 6 through 12 can participate in the fun-filled camp
activities. This camp is an extension of the successful
after-school Buccaneers’ Club, which the Society has
operated during the past several years—drawing an
enthusiastic response from Keys parents and kids.
This
summer’s Bucc Camp has been expanded to include even
more enjoyable and creative activities—and the format
has been changed to include a variety of classes for
different age groups. Buccaneers can learn about
gardening, storytelling, painting, puppet making, and
more. The wide scope of the programs will offer
something to appeal to almost every young mind.
Class
sessions will take place Monday through Friday from June
29 through August 17, with morning programs running from
9:30 to 12:30 and afternoon classes from 1:00 to 4:00.
Kids can sign up for one or more classes; kids seeking
one-day admission only are encouraged to ask about
Turtle Tuesdays and Friday classes.
